ABOUT O.A.R.:
For three decades, O.A.R. has embodied the joyfully communal spirit that’s transcendent for both artist and audience alike. Since forming in Maryland in 1996, the multi-platinum-selling band has merged their musical DNA into a free-flowing sound and exhilarating live show, repeatedly selling out legendary venues like Madison Square Garden thanks to their massively devoted community of fans.
For O.A.R., endlessly uplifting their followers is equal parts charmed responsibility and immense privilege—a dynamic that singer/guitarist, Marc Roberge considers essential to the band’s remarkable longevity. “We’re still always saying to each other, ‘Can you believe we’re still doing this at this level, and it’s still this much fun?’” he reveals. “Apart from communicating, I think the number-one thing you need to keep a band going is really to appreciate and find joy in what you do, and that’s absolutely the case with us. We don’t ever take any of it for granted.”

Chariot, Gavin DeGraw’s J Records debut, introduces the world to a vital, magnetic young artist whose abundant talent and charisma are already well known to New York clubgoers. The 11-song collection is a remarkably accomplished and compelling first effort, offering the same combination of raw emotion and eloquent songcraft that originally drew hometown fans to the 26-year-old singer/songwriter/pianist/guitarist’s live shows.
In a remarkably short time, DeGraw’s effortlessly intimate, emotionally intense live performances have made him the toast of Manhattan’s downtown music scene, building public anticipation for the release of his first studio album.
Chariot doesn’t disappoint. On such emotionally forthright, melodically arresting originals as “Just Friends,” “Crush” and “Follow Through,” DeGraw writes lyrics that muse on life and love with a hard-won insight that belies his age. And he sings his songs in a gently raspy, effortlessly emotive voice that carries a level of emotional depth that’s remarkable for one so young, conveying the elation of love and the pain of heartbreak with equal assurance.
ABOUT PHANTOM PLANET:
Formed in 1994, Phantom Planet is a Los Angeles band that has released five albums of melodic, energetic Alt Rock. Helping to define the early 00s music landscape, they’re best known for writing anthemic hits like “California” (theme of the TV series: The O.C.) and their wildly exciting live shows with deep fan engagement. The band has entertained the masses through a combination of stellar musicianship & compelling songwriting, which now spans over 30 years.
After a hiatus in 2008, the band reunited in 2019, continuing to evolve their sound while maintaining their signature energy and melodic sensibilities. Phantom Planet is comprised of Alex Greenwald, Sam Farrar, Darren Robinson, and Andrew Parker. Phantom Planet is no longer missing; they are ready to reclaim their position in the music industry.

While there’s no formal meet & greet or photo opportunity included, the backstage environment is alive with spontaneous moments. You never know what familiar faces you might pass as the evening comes together.
