Created solely within the confines of a barn-turned-studio in his own backyard, this record marks the first of Hall’s career where he helmedevery aspect of the production process. Penned without external influence and from a purelycreative and explorative space,TrevorHall and the Great In-Betweenunveils raw and unfilteredfacets of Hall that remain undiscovered.

Hailing from a small island in South Carolina, Hall was raised in a musical family and beganformally studying classical guitar in high school at Idyllwild Arts Academy. Quickly thrust intothe world of major labels, Hall signed a record deal at the young age of sixteen. After realizingthe restrictive nature of such deals,he decided to pave his own way and reclaim his artisticfreedom. Starting in 2017, he began releasing music independently. Since then, Hall has soldhundreds of thousands of albums and amassed billions of streams, leaving an indelible mark onthe lives ofcountless listeners. His memorable live performances have graced venues around theworld, including multiple sold-out headline shows at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheater. Hallcurrently resides in Colorado with his wife, author & photographer Emory Hall, as well as hisson.

About Fruit Bats:
Indie folk-rock act Fruit Bats grew from the four-track recording project of songwriter Eric D. Johnson into a touring band with an ever-shifting lineup, but constant are Johnson‘s warm vocals and melodic sensibility, both of which often seem to split the difference between Lennon and McCartney (stated influences include the Byrds, the Kinks, and Supertramp). According to Johnson, “Fruit Bats has been a cult band for a long time.” With Gold Past Life, he hopes to bring more immediacy to the music and share positivity, hope, and motivation to keep on keepin’ on with a wider audience. “Fruit Bats makes existential make-out music,” he describes with a chuckle. “But you’re also welcome to dive into it deeper if you want. Good pop music should be sublime like that.”
