This free concert on August 26th is a fun annual gathering for the whole community! Bring your family, friends, and coworkers for an evening of live music with local bands – The Runaway Grooms and Shakedown Family Band. We hope to see you there!

The Amp is a venue of the nonprofit Vail Valley Foundation. Learn more about Vail Valley Foundation venues, events, and projects at vvf.org.

Born from the rich culture of the Colorado mountains, The Runaway Grooms are bringing a refreshing take on contemporary jam band music. With pocket grooves, syncopated rhythms, and expansive tones, the band captures elements of funk and psychedelic rock while simultaneously celebrating the traditional songwriting roots of Americana music. Dueling guitar solos, 3-part harmonies, and a screaming lap steel guitar combine to create a unique soundscape that takes listeners through an experiential musical journey.

The band has shared bills with nationally touring and Grammy-nominated artists like Umphrey’s McGee, Robben Ford, Twiddle, Trombone Shorty, North Mississippi Allstars, Funk You, Suzanne Santo, Ghost Of Paul Revere, Robert Randolph, and many more.

They’re no stranger to the festival scene playing at the Rocky Mountain Summer Concert Series, Summer Camp Music Festival, Llano Earth and Arts Festival, FloydFest, ShowDown Town Concert Series, AVONLive, GoPro Mountain Games, and more.
